award-winning songwriter – producer – beatmaker – solo artist
Jiří Burian is a multi-faceted music producer and songwriter from Prague, Czechia. His productions have gathered over 70 million views on YouTube. He has composed or produced over 30 albums in various music styles. In 2007, Burian created the character Kapitán Demo – his comedy-rap alter ego – which soon became a Czech phenomenon and received over 9 nominations at the Anděl Awards (the Czech ‚Grammy‘). His biggest hit ‚Zlaticka‚ has amassed over 18 million views on YouTube.
In 2011, his indie-folk project Republic of Two picked up the Anděl Award in the Best Newcomer category. He has written songs and produced albums for several top Czech artists, the majority of which hit the Top 10 and were given airplay on Czech commercial radio. He also composes music for TV advertising, TV shows and movies. He is currently courting music labels for his forthcoming solo album ‚Heart Wins‘. Burian is also a DJ on the Prague radio station Radio 1.

Mým posláním v tomto životě je skládat hudbu, skládám ji skoro každý den. Díky hudbě jsem si vytvořil vlastní svět. Tento svět je svobodný, pestrý a nekonečný.
Rád objevuji talentované umělce a pomáhám jim rozsvítit v nich světlo jejich talentu. Také rád propojuji kreativní lidi a mým cílem je, aby byla česká popová scéna lepším místem.

V žánrech nemám limity, řídím se srdcem a instinktem. Nerad příliš přemýšlím nebo diskutuji o hudbě, nechávám ji, ať se sama tvoří skrze mne.
